Dr Chris Kleanthis MD MSc PhD

Dr Kleanthis graduated from the School of Medicine, University of Ioannina and completed his Obstetric-Gynaecology residency in Athens. He has been awarded both a Master’s (MSc) and a Doctoral (PhD) degree for his research on benign gynaecology. Throughout his career, Dr Kleanthis has published his work in English and Greek peer-reviewed scientific journals, and has participated in international and Greek scientific congresses with numerous presentations.

He further developed his career in the UK, where he completed two Advanced Training modules (ATSM) in benign gynaecological surgery and reproductive medicine, both of which are endorsed by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Great Britain (RCOG). During his time at the UK, he spent three years at the world renowned Centre for Reproductive Medicine - Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital - where he was a member of the team of leading Reproductive Gynaecologists such as Tarek El-Toukhy and Prof. Yakoub Khalaf.

Dr Kleanthis offers a wide range of fertility treatments, and is an expert in the management of various complexity medical backgrounds including PCOS, endometriosis, male factor infertility and implantation failure, as well as specializing in Preimplantation Genetics.

Planning for a family is stressful. Having recently become a dad myself, I have come to realise how daunting it can be to face the unknown. That’s why I founded Fertility Athens, with the sole aim to support couples and individuals throughout this challenging period of time.
